Charley Haupt - President

Charley has spent the last 20 years in the energy management industry focusing on designing, developing and implementing energy information systems. In 1993, Charley founded Utility Cost Management and created the first Windows-based energy accounting software called The Utility Manager™ (UM). In 1996, Charley sold UM to Illinova, and started a new company called Save More Resources (SMR). In 2000, SMR purchased UM back and rebuilt the code from the ground up, expanding its capabilities to support a utility bill payment service. Organizations like Kroger, Intel and Costco were a few of the early clients. In 2003, Charley left SMR and started his present company, New Energy Technology (NET). NET was formed to create a solution that empowers clients with actionable energy information.
